Maybe the FPR is not set up correctly ? Changing the fuel pump should not be a problem, all I can see it being is the FPR.

Sounds like fuel starvation.

What pressure is the FPR set to?

What was the pump you removed? Was it deffo a stock one in there to begin with?

frays not to sure at the mo on what its set ( ill go to the car and check inabit) but when it was fitted it was a bit high. then the guy who fit it said he put it back to factory settings(which is still no good.
now for the fuel pump the only thing that it says on the pump is :

A42-646055
UNISIA JECS MADE IN JAPAN

thats how it is exactly on the pump. sorry is still just the pump size which is worriing me the filter is big on the pump to.

Well unless you have a serious spec, a Walboro should cope with most stuff up to 450/500bhp.
So i guess im saying that either pump will supply enough for the car, as you said i was running okay on the old pump.
You either have a clogged filter thats starving the car underload or (and more likely) your FPR isnt setup correctly.
