Question Would anyone be up for this?

Bit of a long shot this but here goes!
Basically next Sunday, 21st, is the last visit the Vulcan day of the year at Southend airport.
The team who look after XL426 had been expecting a car owners club to turn up for the day but they have since scrubbed. Would any of you guys be interested in taking your scooby down for the day for show? They have room for around 12 cars.
You'd need to be at the airport for 9.30 and importantly you wouldn't be able to move your car until 4pm as you'll be air side!
The day will give you the chance to have a close up look at the Vulcan plus the to get inside the cockpit (costs £2). You can have a photo of your car taken in front of the Vulcan as you leave.
There's also a raffle on the day, the first prize being a flight in a Yak 52, areobatic if you so wish!

More details here:

If anyone is interested or wants any more info let me know.

Suggest you arrange to meet at Thurrock @ silly o'clock, then someone could lead the way for you.

On a more serious note, is it planned to start the engines?
watched them start her up and launch down the runway a few years ago, awesome sound, and would be well worth a visit to witness again.

To be honest the thing putting me off is that I'll be stuck in there for so long . I think I'll pop along as a spectator though as the Vulcan is a fantastic bit of kit , shame I haven't been able to see XH558 actually flying yet due to tecnical problems
