its done around 105,000 miles
nowlsey took me out in it the first time i went to xtreme and he told me it had 280bhp and now plus the new back box and remap he said that would add another 20 - 25 on top problem is to go further id have to buy forged internals (expensive)

well to be honest the trick is to say its its got an aftermarket turbo an say youve wound the boost down it does the trick if its got hardly any power it dosent matter to them if its a non standard turbo boost can be ajusted so easely
if you have any probs and they take a closer look say i knew nothing of it must have bin my garage

Tom,
Sorry I couldn't take your call the other day but I wasa in a meeting....
Shame to see your thinking about selling, but I'd think again before doing anything.
There's no denying your car is sound as it a well spec'd UK car.
I went through the same as you when I first got my Terzo.
My car was running around 265bhp after a remap and a similar spec... What you really need to do is whats been meantioned aqnd bolt on a bigger turbo (with supporting mods), that will see you hitting around 300....
The only way your going to get 400+ is probably go for a MD whatever its called but turbo with adjustments to fuelling etc. and probably a front mount.
I changed the car to a Type R and it pulled a lot more BUT not as much as a hit as the type RA I now have.... This I think is due to the VF vs TD05? TD05 bbeing a lot better in my limited experience.
If your after an RA, I'm still 50:50 on mine as I've just brought another car.
It's now running as it should with power steering and a full decat and just had the cam cover gasket changed at Xtremes.
Thought insurance was an issue?

if you're looking for around 450bhp then its gotta be
Holden HSV GTS: 6.0 litre Generation 4 V8 engine, which outputs 307 kilowatts (412 hp) of power and 550 newton metres (406 ft·lbf) of torque. which you can get for around £10 - £20k
Sierra Cosworth
Vauxhall Monaro: 500 bhp (373 kW) and bumping up torque as well to 500 lbf·ft (677 N·m). around £15k
But I doubt you will find these kind of high power bhp cars to handle as well as the scoobies can

oh, that time we went on a private track... i remember!! LOL
Tom, you dont need to go the RA route, and import classic is stacks lighter than a UK version.
also 450 will see you eating gearboxes (at the very least you'll need a 6 speed conversion) possibly PPG.
i'd like to know what roads you get to use 450 bhp on, i always seem to be sitting in traffic these days.
also worth remembering:-
some good suspension mods, setups will see you hitting a to b a damn sight quicker than some engine mods!!!
also like to add that all my mods have been declared through the insurance.
Insurance companies will use any methods now to get out of paying claims...
i think a turbo the size of a washing machine (wound down???) yeah right!!!
also, what happens if you kill someone? you will know in your heart of hearts that your car is not covered. tell that to the victims family.

junk the interior and sound deadening for a start. it makes a huge difference. trust me. then get on flat 4 online. buy yourself a 2.5 assembled bottom end. has already got uprated internals bolt your heads on cost you about £2.5K, fit a 20g £800 from AFP add a front mount £300 and get it mapped by Zak.
will probably see 360 - 370 bhp, tonnes of torque and be far more driveable than most other things that have the same sort of power.
yvm's black scoob was running those sort of figures with 380 - 400 lbft and pulled like a train. the only car i've been in that kicks more was eb30's. and that's comparing them to ferrari's, lambos, astons etc. power to weight ratio is far more important than just out and out power figures.
take what knowlesy says with a pinch of salt. did he just drive it and say "that's about xxxbhp" or did he actually have some sort of mapping / data equipment plugged in?
the other thing to look at is handling. since i've had mine set up by zak it feels sooo much faster. straight lines are boring. get it set up properly and you'll enjoy it all over again.
