Our friend who runs the boarding kennels etc got him in as a rescue - he's 10 weeks and cross springer/cocker. He's great (so far) - very excitable and her springer just won the brainiest dog - they are pretty intelligent with the right training
Sadly we lost all 10 puppies - it seems they had what is referred to as "wet puppy" and affects the whole litter. the final one was strong with assistance from antibiotics - but our friend was sure it was blind and it had skin irritations (all indications of wet puppy). and sadly that died too.

people across the road have a springer. won't jump into the car. waits to be lifted in. i'd say that's intelligence rather than it being lazy
sorry to hear that. it's a shame when things like this happen but can only say what is meant to be is meant to be. was mum ok in the end as sure you said she had a rough time.

Cassie (mum) is doing fine - fantastic dog
Gill - often has dogs coming in - she does have a soft spot for spaniels and originally was a spaniel rescue - but she has a problem refusing dogs so she ends up with anything and everything.
I have loads of respect for her and all her dogs are assessed etc before being placed.
What kind of dog are you after - as I'm aware of a few she has at the moment.

if it was just for me, something like your chunk i love mastiffs. was detailing Darc174's scoob the other day and had to stop myself taking his dad's 12 week old bull mastiff puppy home.
Carly will need to be able to handle what we get while i'm at work so something not too big and good with children. Carly like the snauzers (sp)

Chunk is lovely - as is Kia (who's pictured with Woody above). Expensive to buy but i couldn't fault them - here's a picture of Kia and Jess - everytime Kia gets on the sofa - up hops Jess to lay with her/on her.
Chunk isn't indoors as much as Kia - because he just doesn't lay down!!!
English mastiffs tend to be larger, whereas the Bordeaux's although large - (in my opinion) look more toned! But I think ALL mastiffs have great temprament and with the right training can be controlled by kids!
