Better for who ?
I would rather give a fiver to a charity of the ESC's choice than pay a fiver for nothing more than a badge at the side, the Orange thingy I did, only so I could use the search function at the time ...... But I feel that is even a rip off.
It was supposedly such a hard task for the ESC to have their own area on here, BUT, as anyone who uses VBulletin as forum software will know, it takes about 5 minutes to do, so all those £5's are just lining Scoobynet coffers for not much effort, and no real benefits.
As said above, I have no problem in donating £5 to a decent charity, but not for a badge with no benefits .

When these two put their arms round some blokes, I think one of them looked a bit sheepish.......... does that count?
