Free rolling road day
Surprised no one has mentioned it.
In May's Banzai magazine. It says TDI (Torque Development International), round the back of Ikea at Lakeside, are offering a free rolling road day to car clubs. They just ask for a small donation to be made to Great Ormand Street.
Anyone else see that?

No idea, look here: Torque Developments International ; Tuning / Performance Specialists / Upgrades / Power / Dyno
I know they use hub mounted dyno machine, so they take your wheels off.

I had a dyno run there last year...
It is a good setup, although a little expensive, but with the setup time to remove the wheels etc. it's not surprising.
However the torque and boost figures seemed very low and we thought that maybe the loading on the dyno was low... Altough it could also have been the wrong gearbox ratio in the machine as the figures didn't match my rev counter. but i noticed on the Apexi that my rev counter over reads....
They did put det cans on when i asked and a wide band as i recall...

Don't blame you SI!!!!!
I've given up chasing figures.... does it really matter what you've got? i.e. 310 or 350 bhp?
Just drive it!!!!
(yep, I used to be like that!!!!)

i use to use TDI all the time.. all i remember is Mark (i think he is the owner of the place) would jus say to u ''£80 plus VAT'' before u even say anything lol.. thats 80quid labour per hour..i paid something like £500 jus to hav a HKS induction kit custom made for my Fiat.. scared to go back again tho..i think they specialise more on toyota supras, lexus is200 n hondas as they hav their own race car which is a turbo NSX.. n they built a 1000bhp civic type R up north..owner must've sold their house n business to get that done..

Surprised you lot haven't booked this yet, Kent Scoobies have been booked up for quite a while
As said TDi are expensive but this is a free dyno day (just a donation needed by each person), we were there last December and they are a great lot and made us feel more than welcome (they even supplied the donuts)
