Probably worth mentioning that if its for a poster Approx Size 17ft x 6ft then the image needs to be pretty high res.

(anyone in the print business care to suggest a resolution?)

i would suggest that you start a brainstorming thread where you can pick out ideas from the posts and tie them all together

a good start would be to list what the SIDC represents and what you would like it to represent

then appropriate images & design can be started based on the representation,


just my opinion, from being in the trade for 15 years

I know it's been done before, and would also be bloomin' hard to do too, but...

A large SIDC logo made up of loads of pic's of members cars with the different colours forming the shapes, a sort of photo mosaic, Crap description...

this sort of idea....

Found a sample program, had a quick go, need a higher res pic (and better computer skills ), but I think you can get the idea......

I think this is a brilliant idea as its the perfect way to get a LOT of members cars in the design so everyone feels part of it
