Default It was worth all the hard work!

Last week I bought a set of AP Racing calipers, disc’s, pads, brackets and braided hoses (big thanks to Yellowvanman ). They had been painted red by a previous owner (not Neil) so the plan was to repaint them black as they should be.

BEFORE

After some careful thought, half a bottle of Nitro Mors and FOUR hours labour per caliper I decided they would look better with all the paint stripped off so they were back to the original colour.

AFTER 4 HOURS WORK

Just a little yellow paint next

A few emails to Ian at Godspeed brakes and these turned up on Friday morning

And I finally fitted them today.

BEFORE

AFTER

A huge thank you to Yellowvanman for the calipers and to Jimladfatboy for all the help stripping them back to original, painting the detail and with the help today with the fitting

Had a feeling you was gonna say that, lol hop you dont plan on using them hard or on track lol.

Hate my DS2500s.

You might get on better with em but they dont take much abuse. Even on the road i can get em to fade without too much hassle and they leave deposits a sh1te all over the discs when pushed beyond their limits.

Do you calipers some justice and junk the pads in favour of some proper items from PF or Pagid.

Thanks Frayz, i don't track the car or even really drive it hard

I think I will see how I get on with the DS2500 for now, even know I have only done about 10 miles with them today and they are still bedding in they are about 100% better then the rubbish that was on there!!

A very nice thread so far Nick. Looks good.

However, I would draw everbody's attention to the pictures and who's face seems to keep appearing in them. Looks like that handsome chap must have done all the hard work!!!

They do look the dogs doo-dars.

Nice little mod

I had the DS2500's on the Pug. Never had any problems with them except they give off a load of dust. Expect to be cleaning your wheels at least twice a week.
