Default Mocom rally Car...now with in car vid..

The time has finally arrived...

The rally car has departed from the Mocom garage and is ready for its first event since the engine rebuild and general sprinkle of the Mocom magic.

Whilst the boys are away in scotland playing in the time attack series, Arron and myself ( for those who know us) will be out Tarmac rallying in surrey on sunday..

sadly its a non spectator event, but im sure there will be an event later in the year at which you guys can come along to support us again..

Still awaiting a rework of the graphics...but everything else is pretty much ready... i think..lol

well just got back...had a fantastic day. Some proper cars there today, wrc escort,6r4 metro, focus wrc etc.

We had a start number of 22 out of 66. Started off fairly conservatively in the morning, but Arron drove the wheels off the car in the afternoon.

We managed to finish 13th overall, and 3rd in the 4wd class. quite a good achievement considering its our first event for nearly 18months!!!

Well done Jon and Arron, must be great to be back out in the car after so long.

As I said when we last spoke, would be great to come along and watch you guys, sure there would be plenty of ESC interest.

Was a good day all round although we nearly didnt pass scrutineering due to the battery cut off switch not turning off the engine. It was the only thing we hadnt checked prior to the event!! Engine would not switch off due to the new Simtek ecu input being different from the previous Gems unit. with the help of a fellow competitor,we managed to get it sorted in the nick of time before scrutineering closed!

Neil,
Not many of the events we do are speccy events, but we will see what we can do. There is an event run by Chelmsford motor club later on in the summer, which may be a speccy event...I will keep you all informed.

cheers for all of comments above
