Default Custom New Age 60mm Tripple A-pillar Gauge Pod

I was looking high and low for a newage 60mm triple gauge pod for my a pillar and I couldn’t find one anywhere, thanks to mickyjeff for the idea and advice I decided to make my own.
Heres a quick write up for you all

Parts needed:
1. A-Pillar
2. Universal Triple 60mm Gauge pod
3. High Strength Glue
4. Fine Compound Car Filler
5. Dremmel (With Circular blade And Stone Grinder)
6. Medium And Fine Sand Paper
7. Paint

First you need to trim your universal triple pod with the dremmel to allow to fit on to the a pillar,

I found that the pod still wasn’t a perfect fit so I decided to cut off each pod

Now its time to stick them on to the a pillar using a high strength glue, I used a solvent cement used to bond poly pipe together plus it takes 10 seconds to go off,
I have off set the top pod slightly for a better viewing angle.

Now fill around the pods with the car filler to make a smooth joint between the pods and a pillar and grind down the excess filler with the Dremmel stone grinder

Now sand around the pods with the medium sand paper to get rid of any more excess filler and give the whole lot a once over with the fine sand paper to give it a key for the paint. Now give it a couple off coats of paint I used the plasti kote grey primer its a bit lighter then the standard color but it is not to noticeable. There is still a few impurities still to sort out but they can wait.

Now your ready to fit

All I need now is some gauges

More will follow once completely finished

Cheers
Mike
