To flap or not to flap

To flap or not to flap
Do you think mud flaps are worth the spend ?
Having looked at some pics I am intrerested in getting some but what are peoples view on them ? Are mud flaps a nightmare to keep clean ? Do you think they enhance the look of the car ?
I have a blue Hawkeye so would go for the blue flaps with the STI writing on.
Interested to hear what you think

Cheers guys
I think I know I want them but always good to have other opinions
Question now is what colour to have the writing. Do I go for Cerise (pink) ? or another colour ? Scoobyparts have them for £65 a set. Will look up the ones above as well

I was also thinking of flaps as I am getting a front splitter fitted and side skirts painted next week. They look good on a newage but does anyone have an opinion on classic flaps, and would black look best on a silver car with black wheels?
Does anyone have any photos of flaps on a classic?

I have a classic flap dilema. The car came with colour matched front and rears but the last owner binned the rears. The fronts are really nice and I would like to keep them, albeit they are a little slim. Jap parts have a set but they don't look the right blue. I was thinking go stealth black as they hardly get noticed in black ?

will speak to him and try to find out where he got them from, unless he reads this first .
Mind have stickers with them although they are not attached so i can either leave them off or get others made up. Might have a go at trying to fit them myself the weekend, just want them on now

cant go wrong with black, they never look that dirty and suit any colour car.
get the prodrive mudflaps from a dealer, they are less then half the price of the STI ones but exactly the same apart from the STI logo whcih can easily be fitted on after removing the prodrive sticker
