about bloody time
hello chaps and chapettes, as a lot of you know, i have been a regular (pisshead and cheap source of entertainment) at the meets for some time now but have never owned a scoob, so its about bloody time i got one instead of riding shotgun all the time (many thanks to my numerous personal chauffeurs lol).
Been out this afternoon to several jap import garages and was staggered as to how many makes/models/versions are out there (i should know whats what by now but unfortunately BEER was always my first port of call when i should be paying attention to those who are in the know lol).
Would be greatly appreciative of any tips/help and what pitfalls to avoid when buying a scoob. Ideally i'd like a classic sti facelift, fell in love with one this afternoon and would have quite happily paid the salesman in sexual favours to drive it away but i'm trying to be sensible (yes i know, gummer and sensible don't normally go in the same sentence) and not buy the first scoob i come across without consulting you guys first.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and will be rewarded with a public beating of kin cheggers at the next meet...............thanks guys, gummers

i have considered sticki's, vidals(apologies lol) and kev d's but to be honest, and without trying to sound rude, i want to get my "own" scoob and hopefully bring a new face onto the scene, if you know what i mean. Just found an sti5 type ra on pistonheads in lancashire, willing to px or straight swap a golf tdi (logbook dug out already lol), plus spoke to moley today and got a cracking quote so hopefully will have one on the drive quicker than i thought

gummer, may be worth checking out Type-RA.co.uk - Home of the Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA, Impreza WRX STi Type RA, Impreza Type RA V Limited, Scooby V. Ltd, visit the WRX forum & Subaru forum if you're thinking of going to look at it.
