HELP, removing scratches from Defi gauges
Hi guys, I've just picked up some second hand Defi gauges (cheeeeep) and two of them have slight scratches.
Whats the best way of getting rid of them and keeping the gauge screens as shiny as possible??? The screens are hard shiny plastic and I don't want to make them worse
Cheers

However if you don't want your gauges to smell minty fresh then you need the "Scratch Doctor" mate.
And I don't mean a vet.
He'll sell you a tube of this for less than £6 :-
Which works on all these :-
And you can get it here :-
XERAPOL Plastic Glass Scratch Remover Acrylic / Repair on eBay, also Cleaning, Waxing Valeting, Car Care, Car Accessories, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-Feb-08 09:20:50 GMT)
I got the paint scratch repair twin pack as well.

Thanks for the info lads, I'll try the toothpaste thing first (with my OWN micro fibre cloth) but that "scratch doctor" looks worth a ganda
Also Mr Frayz, I got a sandwich plate with the oil pressure and temperature gauges. I've read on here a few times that the best place to put the sensors is on piston number 3 as it gets the hottest due to being last in line for fuel (standard series fuel rails at present). Is the difference worth it?? or will the sandwich plate be close enough to show any problems such as oil temp being too high?? I understand the differences of both locations and can imagine the oil cools down between piston 3 and when it reaches the sandwich plate, but by a small amount, or a big enough difference to warrant the cylinder sensors???
