For other oldies

Linkin Park is a rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Since their formation in 1996, the band has sold more than fifty million albums and won two Grammy Awards.[1][2][3] With their debut album, Hybrid Theory, they achieved their initial mainstream success; the album was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005.[4] Their following studio album, Meteora, continued the band's success, topping the Billboard 200’s album charts in 2003, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work around the world.[5]

Recognized for their adaption of the nu metal genre into a radio-friendly style in Meteora and Hybrid Theory,[6][7] the band moved away from this and explored a variety of other genres in their latest studio album, Minutes to Midnight[8][9] The album topped the Billboard Charts and had the third best debut week of any album that year.[10][11] They are also known for their several collaborations, most notably with rapper Jay-Z in their mash-up album Collision Course, and many other artists on Reanimation.[7]

Not forgetting their remix of Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode for the 2006 remix album

Dude im really not exagerating when i say these guys were absolutely funking sensational. They played all the big tracks from all the albums inc, Meteora and hybrid theory.

Not only did they come out for an encore but then came out for a 2nd encore too.. the place went ballistic.

Im not joking when i say that everybody, absolutely everybody was on their feet from the first track to the last encore.

They are without doubt the best entertainment i have ever seen. We was about 30ft from the stage. Chester even came running through the crowd and was singing with the fans when they played "Given up".

Rob Bourdon threw his drumsticks to the crowd, all the lads threw something infact, inc Chesters hoodie. Mikes hoodie, al the lads were throwing their water bottles too.

Ive bought a CD recording of last nights performance too that will be available for me to download in 10 days time.

Im still buzzing now mate, honestly if you ever get the chance to see them.

Go!!

Indeed, was in the gold circle at Hyde Park watching the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the night they recorded it. The cd's even now rarely leave the player for long.

Was thinking about going to this, but to be honest it would take a lot to beat when they played Astoria last year for an "intimate" concert late last year to test some of the minutes to midnight stuff before the album release.
Small venue only a few hundred people and amazing atmosphere! Excellent band. Seated tickets are ok.....but would have wanted to be in the pit
