Anyone fancy taking up running?
Not sure if anyone's interested….?
I brought a set of Brooks Adrenaline GTS from Runners World in Chelmsford Last Friday (16th November). These are the daddy of running shoes!!!!!
These were slightly big for me but as I wanted them for the marathon, I was told not to worry about the size too much……
Anyway, wore them once over the weekend in the dry and they are actually slightly too large for me.
They are obviously as new, but my son has managed to turn the box into a garage!!!! (your welcome to have it!)
I'm a 9.5 and these are a 10.5 (I would say they'd suit 10 - 10.5)
As I've no box, I can't return them…. I paid £80 but I'll take £50 to go towards another smaller pair, lol
SPEC:
Weight 336g
Evaluation The Adrenaline has always been a firmer-feeling choice for runners in the market for a well-balanced shoe. It has all the key ingredients – a long medial post, rear- and forefoot cushioning units and a relatively light weight – plus a broad upper and a thinner midsole that puts your foot closer to the ground.
This year’s Adrenaline has added forefoot cushioning – there’s a layer of rubbery Substance 257 under the existing forefoot HydroFlow unit. It adds forefoot shock absorption while keeping the shoe’s positive feel.
Other changes for this year are minor: a slightly tweaked rearfoot cushioning pad for better heel-strike; a tweaked midfoot shank for a smoother lateral ride; and a midsole that wraps slightly higher on either side of the base of the heel to augment the already good rearfoot stability.
In short Always a top-four shoe in the highly competitive stability market, the Adrenaline now has better forefoot cushioning. If you’re a mid- to high-mileage runner who likes a firmer, more direct feel, the Adrenaline is your shoe.
