I install car alarms for £50, though am busy for the next couple of weeks.
As previously said, Precision alarms do some good deals on alarms.
My personal preference is Clifford and I've got all the programming software and data leads to configure them.
As you've mentioned that the car hasn't got an alarm, I'll presume that it's a classic, and if it is, it will need a 5 lead solenoid/switch for the driver's door, which is around £7, also from Precision. Also if he does gat a Clifford, it would be best to get a "Cliffnet" extention lead, so any further programming can be done easily without having to take the dashboard apart to get to the module.

Are you qualified to do it? I thought to obtain the Cat1 you had to have the alarm installed by a recodnised installer.
