owning a subaru is about looking and sounding distinctive. IMO the new impreza isnt that anymore.

oooo new toys

Sorry, have translated this from japanese::

SI-Drive (Subaru Intelligent Drive)

* Aiming toward More Response regarding the power unit, it meandered and renovated. Especially regarding engine management the SI-DRIVE system which is born with the SUBARU individual conception, "3 Engines in 1" was adopted. By the fact that engine control is done with three modes, it is the system because the running which the driver intends compared to over wide scope is actualized faithfully. In addition, dual AVCS (the active valve control system) you adopt, linear concave fast torque improves by the fact that inhalation and exhalation of air efficiency is raised, feeling is good substantially stepping on from wherever actualizing the acceleration impression. With these, from the circuit to the urban district and gland touring with the colorful scene, the running which has become one is brought to the driver and heart. Just it is the power unit which becomes "telepathy".

* Furthermore, New WRX STI polished environmental efficiency as a condition because the adult enjoys sport to heart one. TGV (タンブルジェネレーテッドバルブ) including adoption, while raising exhaust purification efficiency, by the fact that it develops the exhaust type which holds down pressure loss, 2005 standard exhaust 50% level decrease * it achieves. インテリジェントモ - with ド, fuel economy improvement is brought with the guidance of rich low-speed torque and the shift rise indicator.

Intelligent:
Seriously considering the response, the smooth startup vis-a-vis accelerator operation. Output smooth like the large aerodynamic volume displacement natural inhalation engine and actualizing the strong acceleration impression. If it continues to step on that way, it arrives to largest torque. Furthermore to run fuel economy concern complying with the shift rise indicator without strange feeling it is possible. When liking to enjoy cruising comfortably on the general road and is shown the effect with such as snow road travelling which it is easy to slide.

Sport:
From sport sharp mode it sets the response, to the fog and calm. As for output, way engine control can be enjoyed have the high performance of the turbo engine without doing sweetly control. Feeling of the response and forcibleness good balance is actualized, the happiness び of sport driving is brought in the scene of gland touring and the like.

Sport Sharp
As for the response, vis-a-vis accelerator operation speed of the startup thoroughness thorough investigation. It made the control which aims for the sharp acceleration force where output increases seems at a stroke and the BOXER turbo. Speed of the startup of the corner, showing good quality of the extension of straight, power even with motor sport. At the time of full opening travelling it makes that largest performance is pulled out instantaneously easy.
