Whilst @ Rally day , Walking round as we do We stumble across a lamp pod , Yes i have wanted one for years , Others on here have wanted me to put one on for years ..
But here's the problem
PIAA Do not do a centre bonnet pod for the 2001 bugeye , So i have always looked & never bothered to order as i was not keen on the ones they do for the bugeye ( Bonnet left / Bonnet right )
Anyway .. This is the good bit
I Pick up a centre bonnet pod that PIAA Do & ask the sales guy what Subaru MY This will fit ?
2003 0n , 2006 On etc ...
Oh so im thinking , It's not going to happen again
Then Mr ABW Steps in
" Bigboy , We can sort that for ya & make it fit a MY01 "
Well now yeah baby im thinking Pod me up baby
So on the phone to PIAA ( 9am mon morning day after RD ) Wednesday it arrives
Slip out into the garage & try it on
(Yes i knew it was for a MY06 )
But im telling you it was nothing anywhere near fitting my car / bonnet , So back in doors on a bit of a downer
Phones Dal up ...
" Dal mate , This pod .. Mate it's cack nothing like it "
" Bigboy , Yeah baby bring it in we can sort "
" Ok mate , Thursday will do "
Anyway Daren collects & takes to workshop , Then i get the dreaded text
It reads ..
" Bigboy what on earth have you supplied me with here ? "
I Reply ..
" Well you said you could make it fit "
Well boy oh boy he really could make it fit !!
Just collected the car from ABW After it's final fitting & before it go's of to be moulded
IT IS STUNNING !!
Hopefully all going well , Mould will be back mid next week , Drop of WR Blue & Final fitting end of next week , Then of to XS for the powering up
