Had a touch with the RAD!
After some phoning around today and drawing a blank on getting a rad, I was ready to give it up - however, I came across a place in Barking/Dagenham called Parts Plaza - charged me £65 for the rad (brand new, boxed an all) and £25 to fit it!!! No added VAT and included coolant too!!!! Dead Chuffed!
Not bad, all in for £90. if anyone wants the contact details - give me a shout, I know there was a couple of you I think who were also looking for a new Rad, and Barking isn't a million miles away! (they didn't only do rad's either) Worth a call in the future maybe?

It certainly pays to shop around.
My van has just had it's annual BTCC breakdown, clutch this year.
A friend confirmed what was wrong with it - clutch slave cylinder inside gearbox, but could not do the work as his ramps could not lift the van high enough.
Spoke to the main dealer, told them what was wrong, they said it would be between £500 and £700, so I dropped it off with them. Next day they called to tell me that actually it would now be between £990 and £1190
After a serious loss of temper on my part the van was retreived from said main dealers, and no money changed hands.
Another friend recommended his mechanic, dropped it off there Thurs, collected it today - £150! Works lovely only needed a hydraulic seal changed!
How good is that
