An invitation from Porsche
Had an offer from Porsche to test drive a Porsche Cayman for 24hrs
Thought it would be a load of rubbish but I gave them a ring anyway and it really is as simple as that.
I had the offer of a Cayman - manual, Cayman - tiptronic or the Cayman S - manual.
Rude not to go for the S
Yeah baby, can't wait!

you'll love it. the only thing it lacks is 911 power. but then imo it'd be better than a 911 and porsche won't go for that. it's the reason why it hasn't got more power than it has.
it's a great car, you can poodle around in it if you get stuck in traffic, and you can give it some beans too, without being worried that it'll end up facing the wrong way.
enjoy!

I just normally wouldn't reply to this sort of thing thinking it was just junk mail, but this time I did reply and I will now have the chance to drive a new Porsche for the day!

I did this a while back, I had to wait as they sent me the invitation but when i rang them you had to be 25 and I was only 24. They rang me back on my 25th birthday and it went from there.
When you pick the car up they talk you through it, basically tell you how to open everything etc and then off you go. When I did it you were only allowed to do 100 miles in the 24 hours and they registered the mileage and checked it on the return, I was quite a few miles over and they never said anything though.
Have fun.

Just spoken to Porsche.
Yep, normally 100 miles a day is the maximum. But due to the distance I live from the dealer, he said he will waiver that
"Just drive it and enjoy it!" were his words!
