Default I Luv my Scooby :)

As some of you may know, my Scooby overheated on the Treasure hunt yesterday......

I little news if anyone is interested......

I got the car recovered to ESB and straight away they noticed the fault as a spilt rad and changed it for a nice alloy item with new fans for a very nice price and very quick

The bad news is that I think it may have been all too late? On driving away it overheated again and it looks like (well actually 100%) the head gaskets are blown

OK, I did feel I little sick at the time and wondered if I should "cut my losses" with the car AND Scoobies as these really aren't cars that you just get into, drive and get serviced every so often..... Subaru ownership is like being married

I was very close to picking up the phone at work and ordering a new Focus ST, BUT then I thought about it for a second...... would this satisfy me and my driving addiction? nah, I don't think so......

So even though I had better days, the cars going to Zaks for some much needed TLC ( ) and I can't wait to be reunited with the other "women" in my life

(Love you really Mrs Bibo )

Yours still addicted,

Bibo

P.S. It's been said a million times on here, BUT I have to say it again..... Zak at Mocom really does go beyond any reasonable level of service. I can safely say no other company has ever gone out of their way like this.... cheers mate

Sorry to hear the bad news Ian, don`t give up on the scooby you know you will only regret it later, and having been myself to Zak I can understand you gracious comments, and worthy to.

Hope all goes well

Scoobies do get under your skin don't they......

I'm on my 3rd one and nothing else quite seems to hit the nail.

I'm sure Zak will sort it out for you - you know he works wonders on everything he touches.........

I know exactly how you feel,

Looking at my current situation, I too am just thinking about calling it a day on scoobies completely, this is my 4th one.

But what else is out there that will give you same enjoyment, I am sure there are plenty but do they sound like a scoob........No

So no doubt in a few weeks when I get it back up and running I will fall in again, and before you know it will be modding some more blipping the throttle whenever I can and using copius amounts of wax once more.

David,

Hang in there mate.... I'm coming up to nearly my 40th car ( ) and I know this is going to sound terrible (Frayz look away now!!!!!), but I only brought a bucket to clean my car for the first time about 2 weeks ago

Before Scoobies, washing my car would involve £5 every couple of months to the local Polish boys down the road......

BUT NOW!!!!!!

I own enough car cleaning products to take on Halfords and think nothing of getting up at the crack of dawn Sunday to wash the car.....

Even while the car was on the back of the trailer, I though it looked good!!!!!

As I said, working for Ford I can get a very good deal on something like a Focus ST or an ST220, but I know I'd be changing soon

I know, every time they get close to doing something special (and as you know, they do), the finance men stick their noses in and the management bottle it.....

can't the engine builders do some overtime to tweak the st engines? like sticking a turbo on a fiesta st and giving it anti lag

I had a Fiesta ST and it's actually a nice drive (but just didn't hit the spot).

The reason they don't do things like putting a turbo on it are again down to money...... would they sell any more if they did it? They might even sell less do to young drivers not getting insured.....

my mate has an st and have to agree with you there. nice car but doesn;t hit the spot like a scooby (or simialar) does.

that's true, i guess they wouldn't be able to sell as many. shame, could be a bit of a beast in the right hands.

It's just a shame that with all the history and after the WRC title win last year, they don't do something special?

Or are they .......................?

Yup. I notice a few of them around my way. They normally use Toomey's to get their petrol. Oh and I used to deliver into Dunton. Some interesting cars around the area when I had to deliver to.

would be good if they did. something along the lines of a ltd edition focus st would be good. similar to how Subaru have done in the past with the MacRae, RB5 and Mitsubishi with the Tommy Mak eidition.

but would i sell the scooby to buy one though depends if i'd still get my discount
