Just because a few of the ESC are doing something different to JAE this year Baz, it shouldn't stop anyone else going to what I am sure will be a great weekend.

Some people arent going all weekend JUST because of the R/C race day at the Prom in Maldon. we made our minds up before all the R/C stuff started.

I for 1 cant get the weekend off work for this. And want a brake from the stress of sorting stuff out it takes a good 6 weeks or so to do this. I think I speak for Tiny here, we have been to JAE for the past 4 years and will prob only be going up on the Sunday.

I'm sure Phil/Tiny have a few more details on this so maybe they can post them up.

In the mean time if YOU start a list then at least you will know who is going up for the weekend.

We're not meeting up for a R/C race, if you read the thread, it's a family day out to Maldon, so what the **** is sad about that?
I've done JAE for the last 3 years, and I'm having time out this year to concerntrate on other things

Exactly!

On the way home from last years JAE, myself and Lady Fozz decided we wouldn't be attending the full weekend again this year, regardless of who else was going.

Theres only so many times you can see the same old stuff over and over again.

Ditto Frayz

And its always the same people sorting the same stuff out. as i also said it takes at least 6 weeks to get everything together, for Tiny and I anyway. if it was just a case of packing our stuff in the car and going ,then great but it isnt for us and some of the others. Last year we booked a van 2 weeks before we went and got there at 7am on the friday morning and they mucked up the order and we had to fart around till they found a replacement, then the job of loading up (thanks Spally and Sarah) and then driving up there and unloading and putting everything together. not saying we were the only ones doing this but needs more hands on the job.

Maybe this year if it chucks it down with rain again we can stand under the huge marquee and watch people holding down the sidc marquee and getting soaked to the bone.

Coulnt agree more Karen,

The amount of effort that the likes of Tiny, Karen and Phil etc etc put into shows such as JAE and to be quite honest.

JAE last year was absolutely ****.

Im sure kent scoobies will put in a good turnout though... i bet they'll even let you lead the way Baz

Sorry Frayz but I have to take issue with this post

JAE was not **** !!!

We won the Best Stand

We had a fabulous Hog Roast

We had a great Disco [ Despite my best Efforts to cancel the Guy]

Tiny retained his flammer Trophy

Craig and Co did us proud in the S&S Comps

Yes the weather was awefull for an hour or two

But please don't tell people it was something it wasn't

I have been at the last 4 JAE's and this years was truly a TRIAL OF THE HARDY [coming from a hotel dweller] BUT it bought back the spirit of the club
So much so Scoobycity were ready to Join the SIDC before the end of last years event

I fully understand Tiny and Karyn's position as they work there socks off at EVERY event and yes at times its very frustrating watching people do there own thing and enjoy a show whilst you worry how you are going to get the next meal/event going.

Let people judge the event for themselves!

As I have said more than once in this thread there is already a good selection of ESC attending this year together with like minded individuals from throughout the country

JAE will be a good Craic
