Exclamation Frequencies

Sorry for starting yet another RC thread, but this is very important for health and safety and potential accident prevention.

I have a white board in the garage, so in future, when we meet up, EVERYONE has to check in so can be allocated a designated frequency, so hopefully we won't have the **** ups we had previously, then we can all can drive when we want.

At the moment, I believe the only person exempt from this is Wilf as he has a Spektrum R/C gear which automatically choses a free channel.

Also there are 2 main frequencies that land vehicles can legally use, 27 and 40Mhz, though it seems most of us have 27Mhz.

Can you please list the crystal set you have.

1. Cornelius - Red(2) Orange(3)

At the flying club i go to, we would have a card with your picture, which you put against a frequency. this way you can see if the frequency is taken and who is using it. Then if that person isn't racing, then you can ask them to take their card down, replace with yours.
This way everyone knows they can't switch on unless their card is on the board agaionst a free frequency.

All of this is at risk to human error, but it's quite a good system IMHO.

I'm looking at buying a set of racing crystals. They have 6 pairs, bands 7 ~ 12. Should eliminate some of the hassle.

the packs of x-mod crystals are split (in between frequencies) however i will be running my xmod very soon as well.

good idea this one.

also i think we should decide on where to stand at certain venues as its difficult hoofing about trying to anticipate where people are, at 65mph+ (jato speed, not salvage!!)

Dazza (off to collect the 2 stroke beastie today!!!) - i've missed her lol.

Will the x-mods crystals work in all 27mHz radios/cars?

Any car that comes with a disclaimer defoo needs people out of the way.

Jato 3.3 is not for everyone. This product is capable of extreme speed and acceleration! It carries our highest skill level rating (5) and is intended for expert drivers only. Experience with nitro-powered radio controlled models is required. The driver must exercise all caution and accept full responsibility for their own safety, and the safety of others nearby. Full-speed operation requires a large running area free of obstacles and closed-off to pedestrian and automobile traffic.

Savage Vs Revo

Well I'm in the market for buying a monster truck and I have to admit the Savage X that Customdan has got looks very nice.

Also very impressed with the Revo 3.3.

We put them next to each other on Saturday and they are exactly the same wheelbase (length and width).

From the review that John posted yesterday about both trucks, there doesn't seem to be much in it.

For me I think I like the idea of the go anywhere option of the monster truck so the Revo or Savage would suffice, in fact for real heavy off-roading the Savage may even be a better option.

However, I also want to be able to put it around a track (on and off-road) not competition racing but a track does add to the excitement for me and gives it more of a goal rather than just aimlessly running up and down a carpark. That pushes me towards the Revo due to its slightly lower C-of-G and therefore better cornering abilities.

Hmmm, decisions.

Any other input? (serious input, not just my car is better than yours! )

Hit the nail on the head there really mate...

The Team Losi LST is another nice truck but not as user friendly as the Savage or REVO IMO.

In the grand scheme of things you wont go wrong with either, personally i prefer the REVOs lower slung design, suspension technology and tuneability.

Your call mate but i think youve made your mind up with a 3.3 tbh.

Heres the Losi mate but imo its more or a race derived truck and not as user friendly as the HPI or Traxxas.

Bigger than the above though
