Police Video Van
Just a heads up to any ESC members using the A414 between the M11 roundabout Junction 7 and Harlow.
On the dual carriageway (BP Garage side) parked up sideways to the carriageway for a good view of everyone, there is a Police Transit van with "Video" facilities.
Been there for a few days now, not seen anyone in the cab yet, nor anyone around it, but I guess it might be monitoring the traffic - so just in case you want to blast past - it might be best to be very sensible in that area.
It might be there for a another reason, but thought it best to warn members about it just in case.

The trani was parked up at the loughton shell garage for a week. With the camera facing into the garage.
The fiesta was also parked up at the shell garage opp the BP for a week.
Bit of a warning sign for would be petrol runners me thinks.

Still there tonight when I came home - can't see where the camera is aimed at - so being prudent with the loud pedal as I'm normally hammering it at that point (traffic allowing)!
I bet that at some point it is watching the cars going past, even if it's only there to watch the garage users as Simon suggests...... Got a funny feeling it's a remote controlled van as well, so they don't even need to be there to change where it's looking!
Will keep an eye on it, but watch your speed around there - just in case!

Was that when they were building the dual carriageway that exists now?
I remember the road before it was two lanes (and the huge time it took to get up the hill to the M11 roundabout), so a bit unfortunate you got done at that speed!

That van was parked on the forecourt of the Shell Station at the Wakes Arms for about a week not so long ago.
I never saw it manned, don't think its much to worry about

I was in that garage yesterday filling up on V Power at the special offer price of 93.9p! - small world............
Out of curiosity - did anyone else manage to find a local Shell garage with the special offer on Weds? - I only found out about it by chance as I was leaving work....
