I'd say the prodive setup, The alcon kit uses ally calipers which are better, from a heat prospective, the bembos tend to hold the heat a little to much.

Just ask Frayz

The Brembos are ally too mate.

This is true but only if youre kicking the granny out of them on track.. otherwise theyre just as goos as the Alcons.

Depends on what youre using them for. for 99% of people the Brembos will be way more than they will ever need.

I've got 330mm Alcon's on my RB5 and Brembos on my RB320...

I'm scared to drive the 320, cuz the brakes are so crap!

Alcon's by far!

Alot of that is disc/pad choice mate.. the "crap" feeling youre complaining of is actual pedal feel.

Yes the Alcon caliper is more rigid however, Brembos with braided lines and decent discs and pads such as Performance friction will be very very good...

Certainly good enough for most.

I'm waiting for the new Prodrive RB320 discs to come out.. then I'll change the pads at the same time. But I do think you are right Frayz. Plus 320 is about 300kg heavier, but weight isn't all the difference.

Do you know who is manufacturing the new prodrive setup?

Are they using Alcon again?

I personally think you should just go for a decent upgade on the front such as Prodrive, Brembo etc.

I dont think you'll be happy with just discs & pads mate.

Tell me what you think is "Crap" about them? What are your sympoms?

Lacking in bite? feel? fade? stopping power? spongey pedal?

You need to highlight what you find as a problem in order to decide on a suitable fix.

For stopping power you really need to go bigger.

Its the bigger discs that creates more leverage and pulls you up in a shorter distance. Braided hoses and some good quality fluid will pay dividends too.

However to put, lines, discs, pads, fluid all round on your WRX, id say it would be more cost effective on a bigger brake kit up front mate.

What pads are you using?

Whats your current lines/fluid too?
