Top mount intercooler deflectors

Top mount intercooler deflectors
The problem with running top mounts is that the air coming in from the scoop only actually reaches the back half of the intercooler (air will always travel the easiest route), leaving the front section relatively untouched by fresh air.
I've already made a couple for John1UK and KevD, and both are happy with the results from such a simple mod.
I'm making a batch up (12), if anyone is interested, let me know(£10 unpainted)) At the moment, these are for classics and facelifts, but not sure if they will fit newage. If anyone with a new age would like to try it to see if it fits then you can have one FOC as a thank you.
At the moment, these are made out of 0.8mm Galvanised steel which can easily be painted with hammerite.
As I haven't made any yet, there's no pics, but should have the first made tomorrow.

Bugs in the front half of the IC.
Seriously though. I have an early Betts model on the Stealth Wagon & before fitting it you would just see dirt & bugs collecting mainly towards the rear half of the IC. With the deflector fitted it spreads the air flow & with it the bugs more evenly over the face of the IC. So bringing more of the cooling surface area into play.
Good, simple functional mod IMHO.
