Stolen from a thread in general
What this means for Impreza drivers -
Classics - £5 extra this year and £5 increments for next two years
Newage - £10 extra this year (those registered after March 1, 2001) and £5 increments for next two years. Makes the tax £200 per year this year, £205 next and £210 in 2009.
Newage 2007 models - £300 this year increases to £400 per year 2008
On top of this yet another 2p a litre (8p+ per gallon) in fuel duty from October.

This is utter b*ll*x !!! It makes me laugh, they make out they are giving you more money by lowing taxes and increasing benifits, but then they up stuff like Car tax and petrol, so if you add it all up, your probably no better off..... infact for most, your probably worse off!!
Least I've got a classic !!!

I was trying to work that out on the dvla website , all i know is my car has a C02 emissions of 219 and is in band F
The relevant point is that its only applicable to cars first registered on or after 23 March 2006. You could therefore drive a car registered before that date with really high CO2 emissions but you'd not be caught by the new rates.
Just checked the emissions for the RB320 and it's 292
