Time for a new TV
Right guys get your suggestion hats on. Just had carpet fitted in the living room (had laminate before) and when moving the tv unit back in i broke it .
We had joked that we wanted a new one but can't find any we like. So i came up with the idea of a plasma or lcd, mounted on the wall as we then don't need a cabinet.
Also following Tiny's lead, i want to get one i can hook the pc up to and this will then allow me more space in the living room as no computer unit needed either.
So guys n gals, any suggestions on which TV?

Small sujestion, have you looked on homebase's web site?
I saw a tv in argos and then saw the same tv on Homebase's web site and it was £100 cheaper!
Online LCD and plasma televisions selection from Homebase.co.uk.

the funny thing is there are only three sources of of hd at the mo that is
xbox 360 not full 1080p but it is hd
the new hd dvd if you can afford 1 hdd or blue ray
and sky has between 6 and 12 hd channels and it is debatable whether it is worth having 2 film channels national geo and some sport
tiny watch out 4 screen burn if your using it 4 the pc on a regular basis
used my 50" for the pc doom 3 was scary.. lol

Hi Guys,
IMHO Plasma is every bit as reliable as LCD, you should get around 70'000 hours use from either (Average use 10 years) . But if you are looking to use it a lot with a PC Plasma's suffer with image burn, so you will be better off with an LCD.
If you have the budget and want plasma then Pioneer is deffo the way forward, but the best all rounder is the Sony.
But the most importent thing is to look @ the picture and think to yourself "Do I like it?" as you are the one thats is going to spend the time watching it not the salesman
For any advise give me a call 01702 301600 and ask for Chris
Good luck

I love my TV.
Panasonic LCD TX32LXD600 Fooking ace !
One of the best, if not the best 32" LCD currently available.
Have a read on this forum. I spent ages reading before I took the plunge.

Got a 50" HD Plasma from Curry's on Boxing Day to replace a 42" non HD I'd had for 3 years (no probs at all with it, just wanted HD). Have it wall mounted and its fab Inputing 3 HD sources into it at the mo X-Box 360 via VGA, 360 HD DVD and the odd Virgin Media programme. All look stunning. Bue ray player (PS3) coming on the 23rd also Not tried the PC yet though...
Go 50" my 42 looks tiny compared to it

Haven't seen or heard of them for many, many years. Used to often go to the Enfield one but one day I went, it was all locked up and I never saw any more newsletters or the like since - TILL NOW!!

If you mean the rear projection one then yes!
I think i'd have to build an extension to even get it to fit in my front room!
Then charge people to watch it to!
