Anybody had any petrol problems locally ?
With the news story of 'dodgy' petrol knocking around, I wondered if anyone had had any problems around the Essex area . Even though they say it's 95ron that's effected the press seem to be blaming Greenenergy for the problems , who I think supply Tesco with their 99 ron .

I did hear Tesco was involved but not sure what petrol whether its diesel, 95 or the 99 one? I've got to fill up tonight, and must admit was just going to fill up with V Power after hearing about all of this trouble.
Surely if a petrol station was affected by this, they would shut the pumps wouldnt they?

If its only the supermarket stations that are haveing the problems, then it must be them causeing it, because all the tankers, no matter who they deliver to, fill up at the same place.

I had a spate of Engine Warning light issues for no reason late last year? Then nothing? Put it down to bad fuel? Always use Tesco 99?

IIRC Esso also use the same suppliers as Tesco & Morrisons but according to Sky News (so it must be true ) there are reports coming in Nationwide so not as isolated as first thought.
Also Tesco announced there is no contamination in their petrol

One of the blokes at work filled up VMax at shoebury & it's happend to him
Just hope this is not the reason why mine is chugging along.
I normally fill up at Rayleigh but i did fill up at maldon Shell on Saturday night.
I just hope it's the maff that needs cleaning

Tecky Question - re the dodgy fuel - how quickly (i.e. how many miles do you need to drive) before the engine starts playing up if you've accidentaly put this in??
I put in some VPower tonight into a nearly empty tank, and I want to put my mind at rest that if i can go 10,20,30 miles and it doen't happen to me then I am OK??
Anyone got any idea??
Ta

If you had nearly an empty tank with no problems then you are fine. Most had problems soon after filling up at Tesco's etc...
VPower is not affected... I thought ??????

It seems to be French cars and Vauxhall's that are effected by it the most , a friend's Corsa died on her about 5 mins after filling up at Tesco's in Maldon
