Wilson's stop selling new Subaru's
Had a letter this morning from Wilson's of Chadwell Heath saying that from 1st Jan 2007 they would not be selling new Subarus anymore.
They are going to be a Subaru Authorised Service & Repair Agent and Parts Dealer and still sell used Subarus, so they will still be useful, but it's a sad day now they have deciced to stop being a "proper" Subaru Dealer like this.....
I found them to be one of the better dealers.......

I thought their subaru knowledge was crap personally
Took my car there twice for simple warranty things and had to physically point out one of them on the second occasion.
Much better off with specialists IMHO
And not selling new scoobs anymore, who wouldn't use the net these days anyway

I have bought three cars from Wilsons, and found them to be superb.
Apart from one thing, when i bought my Civic Type R from them, they serviced it and forgot to tighten the sump bolt up, screaming down the road and it came out pi$$ing every last drop of oil on the road

I got my letter yesterday as well.
TBH, I think the writing must be on the wall regarding them keeping an official Subaru status. I can't believe they would have taken the decision to withdraw selling new cars, as that what will attract new customers into the showroom in the first place. Once that starts to happen, less and less people will go, IM will then say that they are 'failing' and will withdraw their support all together.
I give them 2 years tops until they'll only be Lotus & Mitsubishi dealership only. Which is a pity for me, as I've always found the servicing side quite good and very conveniant.

Lets hope we get a new dealer, with better service as all the ones round that way only get 3 out of ten, but sales in the two mentioned 10 out of 10. But find that in all dealers mainly

Yeah. got my letter yesterday too.. I had two SEAT's from there previously too, which they also dropped dealership of!!
I always found them reasonable,Day's were poor on sales/model knowledge, so i bought @ Wilson's, but in future i'd probably look towards an import (litchfields) anyway....
IMHO many aftersales 'specialist's' are also very suspect, mentioning no names, but as johnD says, i find it hard to trust anyone 'tinkering' with my old lady....
