Hi,

I've heard that turbo timers can make your insurance invalid? Is this true???

But are they worth the risk ? My OH had one on his old import Surf Hi Lux, but took it out.
Not really sure if it is really worth the risk, as I have heard about people leaving their car unattended when running, and it getting nicked, with no payout from ins co.

My scoob came with a TT, but rarely use it, only if I'm in the immediate vicinity and can keep a watchful eye over it

I'd be awful with it !! I wouldn't be able to leave it! When I get my scooby, I'm getting everyone at work to rearrange the parking, so I can park right by the back door, as my desk is about 5ft away from it, and everytime I walk past to make tea, I will have a peek to check she's ok !!

all you have to do, IF you dont want a TURBO TIMER, is make sure you drive UNDER BOOST for the last 5 mins of your journey & you will be safe
then let the car idil for a little while before you get out/lock up & hey presto No need for a turbo timer

Or if you got a clifford alarm with intelistart, you won't have problems either as the alarm will automatically lock the doors and arm itself

Yeah, Taz had that on his old Surf. But it wasn't set up right, and it wasn't powerful enough to start the car!!!
