Default Changing Intercooler? Is it worth it

Looking at an STi I/C from a v4 98 type R

Is it worth changing? I currently have standard one on my 96 Uk car with PPP, what difference would I see and is it an easy job as my current one is a slanty one and this is a straight fit?

Cheers
David

if you want to change the slanted I/C for a newer shape STI one, you'll have to get a '98 inlet manifold as well, as the '96 one is a lot bigger, so the '98 I/C won't physically fit.

I tried doing this conversion a while back, and ended up selling the I/C and buying water injection instead
