Bought a new camera
i bought a new camera and christened it on a ferrari f430. some of them aren't great but it was about 8:30 to 9:00pm when i took them.
Now bring on the rolling road day. can't wait to get some decent pics of the scoobs on the rollers.

make sure you have the LENS cap OFF when trying to take pics.
Hold camera still & aim it what you want to take pic of.
As for top pic open shutter speed, to about 5 seconds & (car standing still) ask it to drive away, will get a PUCKER PIC

cheers baz. this new camera is a bit of a beast (canon eos 30d) and it's going to take me a while to find out where the button is to change the exposure time.
might have to take the scooby down there and set the tripod up so i can have a go. stick it on timer and away i go. as long as someone doesn't go away with my camera!!!

mneame: i was thinkin you must have used a tripod for those pics, very crisp . the first one with the blurred ferrari, couple of suggestions here, use a faster shutter speed and use manual focus, the bridge is in focus and not the ferrari.
Have a look here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=879310 at a night shoot i did with duSTI
it was a test for me with different settings and shutter speeds to get used to my camera
