SAT NAV/ TOM TOM Users beware
Just been speaking to a very pi$$ed off collegue, he filled his car up with petrol and locked it, as usual to go and pay for it.
While queing up, four guys pulled up next to it, brick through the window and satnav gone.
This was in the middle of the day and in front of lots of people.
So just be warned apparantly this is not the first time these guys have done it.

Unfortunately this is no unusual...
The satnav units are usually obvious in the car (even if it's just the mounting bracket), they are very quick & easy to steal, and are reasonably high value....
If you have one in your car, it pays to be very careful......

I wonder if we could get some of that spray Bruce Willis uses in the film The Jackal, you know the one he sprays on the boot handle and when someone touches it they foam at the mouth and drop.
Maybe we could get some dummy sat navs made and spray it on those, no less than a thief deserves .
*Please note the above is a joke and I cannot condone or recommend assaulting or killing thieves, unfortunately

Has anyone ever had that laminate sheet put on the inside of your windows, supposed to be invisible if applied correctly and would stop this kind of smash and grab.

SupaGlass Safety and Security Laminates
SupaGlass is an optically-clear, high-technology laminate. When retrofitted to the inner surface of a glass pane, the glass becomes highly resistant to common forms of smash and grab, bomb blasts and projectiles. SupaGlass creates an invisible protective layer between passengers and the risk of broken glass.
According to Thatcham, SupaGlass significantly improves the resistance of toughened glass to common methods of attack.
Please don't ask if this is fitted to the Stealth Wagon. If I told you I would have to silence you.
And there is nothing ever left in my car worth dying for.

One of the guys here had his Road Angel stolen a few weeks ago.
Was parked in our car parkwhich is patrolled by a security guard, ans is accross the road from the biggest police in the south.
Brick through window, grabbed it and ran. (Security guard watched it happen )
Hide mine under my seat now. Not exactly safe, but at least it is out of view.

I usually take my TomTom out of my car, mainly becuase it is worth more than my current car
When we had offices above the Abbey on Brentwood High Street we had a car park round the back of our office. Someone put in the window on one guys Cherokee to take a £10 note?!?!
Surely there is a certain point where it is not worth the risk?
