Car Limits Driving Day
As some of you may be aware on Tuesday i had a Car Limits Driving Day with Andy Walsh at North Weald Airfield which was a great day, and i am totally up for some more, so i was going to try and arrange some days just for Subaru's as on Tuesday it was just little me and 3 other VX220's....
http://www.carlimits.com/
If 4 persons attend then it is £180 per person for the day...
So then if you fancy it put your name below
1. Mrs Spec C
2. Mr Spec C
3. Kin (might go and not be so late/slow)
4. Mark_B4 (date dependant)
I was thinking of doing this last year but never got around to it...
Cool, if anyone else is interested still put your name down as maybe we can book a couple of days so then there should be a date/s that everyone can attend, then also maybe i could put my name down for a couple of days....
.....Then maybe i'll ready for the track

Totally agree with you about Andy, he defo gives you the confidence and tuition to push yourself and your car that little bit more than you though you could

He does do group days, that might be worth considering? Not one on one so much, but a great event....

Hi, I've not posted in ESC yet, so first all, Hello!
I did a very similar day at North Weald last friday, and would definately like to do another.
The one I did had 30-40 cars there which kept the price down but did sometimes mean a bit of a wait for your turn to come round again. I'd also like to get a bit more tutition next time, which was not really possible with 40 cars.
And I've got to leave a link to a video I filmed last friday. It's instructor Andy Walsh taking my car for a spin on the handling circuit....

The day I did started with a high speed 90 degree bend - accelerate up a straight then turn as you pass a cone. The speed you attempt it at was up to you, but Andy recommended to start at 60mph and build up from there. The fact that there's a big bump just as you turn in gives plenty of opportunity to lose the back end - but of course there's a lot of run off space.
Next was a slalom around some cones (while the high speed bend was still running, so you can get a bit of varity by swapping between the two) and after lunch, 2 seperate circuits set out - which is where the video was from.
Having done it I feel much more confident in what my car will do on (and beyond) it's limits, which is something you can only safely learn on the wide open space of an airfield. It's also shown me how much more I have still to learn which is why I'm up for another one as soon as possible!

My tyres after my last day at North Weald
Lol. 2/3 tread left at start of day, then 52 miles later. Side wall scrubbed over 50%, despite running 45 psi
Excellent day would throughly recomend it.
