As most of you seem to be doing TRACK DAY, DRAG STRIPS, TUNNEL RUNS
thought this would/could be a good time to get a MOUNT!!

Ive not organised anything with these people,

Do the windscreen mounts have a universal one size fits all system?

Or do you have to buy a mount specific to the camera

I'd be up for a group buy, if they give us a discount.

I would be interested depending on price.

Only this evening I was recommended to use this guy (on another site) after I gained 2 videos of dodgy filming, most recently on a pistonheads run yesterday in my scoob.

Just to add I was not filming, my passenger was (ps. don't moan about my driving), but I filmed something equally as dodgy from mates 360CS 2 weeks earlier...lol.

Hi Guys,

Thought i'd find a thread on here after chatting to a couple of you at the show. It's Dave from Fast Films, i'm happy to offer you guys a discount and/or group buy on any of our products. I have a stand at this Sundays trackdays show at Rockingham so feel free to say hi.

Cheers, Dave

Strangely I got my old mount out yesterday (had it for years) it a suction type & the first time I've used it on a car. Seems to be quite stable but didn't risk just leavin it there so hung onto it whilst shooting. Would be interested in a more stable/safer version.

One from yesterday (posted in member gallery too):

Cheers Dave

Been on your site & you have the suction pod that I'm using, this one:

What would you recommend for a digital SLR mainly for use outside the car? Needs to be very stable (don't find the above stable enough) and what will give me more confidence that it will stay attched, as I really don't want to loose £1000+ worth of camera gear

Cheers

Dave

Personally, I prefer mounts with multiple, small suckers and with a large footprint for stability. Having said that, I used the mount you have on the outside of a 450BHP RS200 on Wednesday at Brands, it was fine after 20 minutes (with a bullet camera though).

You can see it on the roof.

For your needs I would look at this one, suitable for upto 5kg, we sell these to guys using larger camcorders and SLRs -

think if people want some mounts
We should see what would be a popular mount & go from there,
