SIDC & SWRT go to Cyprus 2006
Guys,
I have been in discussions with John at the SIDC and we (Regal Travel Store) have organised a trip to Cyprus on 20th September 2006, to see the world rally.

Due to the success of the SIDC/SWRT trips to Corsica 2004 and Germany 2005, SIDC are proud to announce the details of the forthcoming trip to CYPRUS 2006.
We will be staying at the 4* Holiday Inn, Limassol at a cost of £514 per person. This includes return flights, two adults sharing a twin room, half board, in flight meals and transfers to and from the airport. Check out the hotel at this link http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/lmscy
To book contact Regal Travel Store, 67 Hart Road, Thundersley, Essex. SS7 3BJ tel. 01268 759433, fax 01268 793428, email enquiries@regaltravelstore.io-mail.co.uk asking for Elaine or Dawn quoting "Scooby Booking". A deposit is required at the time of booking of £75 per person (credit cards will incur a 2% booking fee, debit cards and cheques no fee) the balance payment is due by 12th July 2006.
Should you wish to extend the travel dates or have any additional requirements then please mention this at the time of booking.
This cost does NOT include SWRT hospitality, which will be available in the club shop shortly - all current SIDC Members will enjoy a reduced rate for SWRT hospitality.

Cannot do Cyprus this year
Well not whilst the Rally is there anyway 
But going out to Paphos @ the end of Aug for family hols 
Oh & BTW .. WRC Germany was so good last year , Im going back again this year

Guys, i need to you ring the shop and confirm your intention to go and to part with the deposit money.
The tour operator is only going to hold these prices till midday monday 13th!

Guy's there seems to be some confusion over the length of time for this trip.
The price quoted is for a week!!!!!
I think and hope you agree for a week in a 4* hotel and half board, this is a great deal.....
The flights are from Gatwick, departing on the 20th September and returns on the 27th September.

Got a letter from Regal Travel saying "Due to recent changes in the travel industry and facing the ever increasing competition, it is with regret that Regal Travel Store will cease trading immediately". They are moving us to Westcliff Travel Service (01702)391400 Has any one else recived this letter??

Yep got the same letter this morning.
Next time i'd rather book directly, i don't normally use travel agents + i guess there was a lot of pressure on booking early with this company re-prices going up.
Well i wish them all the best in the future and it was nice of them to transfer us to another company + let us know.

I want you all to know that your holiday arrangments are VERY safe.
I'm sorry for the concern this situation will cause, but i have made every effort to ensure all my clients & friends will be looked after.
I will be in comstant contact with Westcliff Travel and will ensure a very smooth transition.
Thanks for the comments in your post.... I have tried to make this change in circumastance as professional and smooth as possible.
I'm sorry for those that felt the hard sell was used to push this event, but firstly we needed to get confirmed numbers, but more importantly, we were under great pressure from the tour operator, as they we're pushing the price up every time we spoke ( and they came out on average £250 cheaper per person, so they offered a good deal, plus they we're able to meet the number of rooms needed).
