After the cancelled Golf Day over Xmas, there still seems to be a lot of interest in having an ESC golf day, and even an ESC Society. So after talking to Tiny & Phil I have volunteered to organise one in Feb .

I know there are loads of courses to choice from, but having spoken to several courses I have narrowed it down to 2 best value options.

Garon Park – Southend
Winter Special 18 holes + chefs ‘special’ lunch, min 8 players £14.95 midweek, £29.00 Saturday (buggies possible dependant on weather)

Benton Hall – Witham.
Lakes Package - Bacon Roll + Coffee, 18 holes, 1 course pub lunch, min 8 players, midweek Only £19.95 (No buggies – winter)

The decider will probably be whether people can play Mid Week or Saturday .

For Mid Week Benton Hall is probably the favourite, Tiny and Phil both like the course(despite the duck s##t ), it's fairly central Essex, meet @ 9.00 for Bacon Rolls + Coffee, tee off starting at 10.00. They suggest Wed 22/2 is fully available.

Garon Park is the option for a Saturday 18/2, must tee off between 8.00 & 10.00.

Obviously we would like as many to attend as possible so a Saturday may be better, but we will go with the majority .
To ensure we get the above dates I will need to provisionally book this ASAP.
So Please let me know who is interested and which course/date is preferred. Deposits will be required.

The only thing I will say is that is my birthday weekend, and regardless I will have to work the Saturday. I am good for midweek on the 22. I will have to see if I can pinch the girlfriends car.

Going with the majority it will be at Benton on Wed 22/2

I have today confirmed our booking with Benton Hall for 12-20 players. Therefore I will need a deposit or full payment from everyone, as I am now personally liable should we not meet the minimum number. I will be at the Posers Cruise 4th Feb or pm for other arrangements.
If you could let me know handicaps that would be good.
