Advice please...Whats it worth??
Will be getting rid of the scoob in the next month or so, but have no idea what its worth.
Just wondering if anyone could offer some advice
02WRX in Blue
Mods
Full De-cat with H&S jap back box
STI8 rear spoiler
Colour coded side skirts
Crystal side repeaters
Crystal side markers
mud flaps
fog covers
front bottom mesh grill
prodrive twin headlights
Prodrive Gear ****
STI metal gear gaiter surround
Matching blue mats
STI8 Intercooler
Dawes device fitted, set to 1.1 Bar
Front/Rear strut braces fitted
£400 single din JVC MP3 head unit
Full sticker set (in silver) ... removable
There area few other things that i cant think of at the moment, the car has full service history and apart from a couple of tiny dings it is in very good condition.
Any ideas roughly what i should be looking for?
Thanks

yeh it's about 9,500-11,000 mate.
Basically the mods are worth nothing on it. Very difficult to sell scoobs now with any sort of aftermarket modifications such as bigger intercoolers and the like.
Depressing I know!

That dont sound good, with the money it sounds like you will lose maybe its worth keeping, couldnt sell mine now, even though I could do with the money!!

I definitely think it would be worth stripping at least some of the mods to try and get some money back on them.
I think the Spoiler, intercooler and strut braces would go fairly easily and the exhaust. Not sure what you would get for them though. The STi Spoilers are worth quite a bit aren't they?

you'll get good money for the mods if you strip them off mate. It's the best thing to do because leaving them on will just mean you get nothing for them.
Could easily see you getting £1000+ ... nice little bit of cash in your pocket!
Sorry to hear that you are selling so soon.

As if you bought a car that was already modded would it not save you money on buying mods seperately??
sorry probably a thick question I know

It's because people simply don't want to buy a modified car. The history is not concrete and you can never tell how well the car has been treated. As soon as you put any sort of performance modification onto a car it's value (of the mod) is worth 0.00 if sold with the car.
Take it off though and the market for second hand mods will get you some cash back on it.
I had over £9,000 worth of mods on my old scoob - but I only managed to sell it for £5,000 because the guy wasn't interested in the mods.
Boils down to when you're buying a car would you rather buy standard and then put on mods or would you rather buy a modded car, not knowing who what why or when the work was done.
That's how I think it works anyway - based on my experiences.

Thank you for clearing that up.
Yes I can now understand why you would sell it without mods Baz has also said that some insurance companies won't insure cars with extra mods
Getting back to the topic
Milage plays a big part when selling a car,the higher the milage the the less it is worth.

Bugger thought I was gonna get my first corner? 6 months and I still haven't popped my corner cherry lol!
I don't know what the problems are that u having but if the money is not one of them I think you should hold on to the car a little longer myself see if things pick up? Have some fun in the snow . If I am having a bad day after a rag in the scooby it all seems to feel a little better . Unless the car is called Christine of course LOL.
Chris..

When I sold my Capri, it was mint, the only thing the buyer could fault the car on was that the rear diff had some surface rust. and he didn't want the performance exhaust system, or K&N air filter.
Same with my old 2000E Sierra Sapphire, I put a Cosworth kit on, with 5 spoke alloys, after 6 weeks of trying to sell it, took the alloys off, along with the exhaust, and it sold within 3 days.
Yet again with my old V6 Mondeo, the dealer wasn't interested in the stainless steel exhaust, and only offered me the book price for part exchange with the scoob.
It's a pain to take the bits off, but in the long run, you're actually better off for doing it

ha ha! A Samba, we used to have one at work, a classic!
Back to topic, shame you have to see it cookie, I just sold mine (but for money reasons, costing too much) and I don`t miss it, at the end of the day, its just a car. There is more too life. Thats not to say I didn`t enjoy it, but that phase passed, and now I`m happy in my little Pug.
Good luck with the sale, mine was a mare to sell, but yours does look better.
