I've also got a classic with the full H&S de cat system. Transformed the car and the noise is great.

Hi I have to agree with Summers and Adidas and all the above as I also have a classic with a full H&S decat and it sounds so good not to loud on tick over and low rev driving just a deep purr but open her up and man it is like visiting Jurassic Park LOL.
Not sure the exact spec as it was fitted to the car when I bought it but as for performance I have a UK turbo (215 BHP) and the only mods are exhaust, dump valve and induction kit, put it on the rolling road and it gave me 253BHP .

So yeah its H&S all day long .

Chris...

Booked up for sat morning, they seemed well helpful on the phone, was quoted £90 for the centre pipe and £220 for the 4.5 jap rear can.

Hi - just to add to everyone above:

I have a classic with decat H&S all the way through to a 4.5" box - but i am adding a H&S box soon... the box i have on there is brilliant in sound but not loud enough for me - I have been told it is a H&S too - but not sure... it will be up for sale soon! as soon as i know which box it is!! - a question to all : why do people keep the catz?

All the best

LeWi

Yeah but thats after a tek 3 mate, which is great but im not planning on getting it mapped anytime soon.

Thats why i dont want the agg of the downpipe.

If i am talkin @rse and the downpipe wont matter then please set me straight. if not then the downpipe is staying as is!!

i ran a full decat without the remap for around 14months, boost level does go up but I didn't experience any performance or running issues the entire time...

Hi frayz,

My classic has not been remapped yet, and do not have any problems with boost running mine. I did buy defi's though to keep a check. With emitions I go the XS and they can sort it. Just my experience and will be getting a remap once the better half agrees.

Agreed with above. Never had mine re-mapped and it still runs like a dream (when I can be arsed to get it out of the garage!! )

Second of all, MOT time, book it in with Xtreme. You'll be there and back with a new ticket in your hand within an hour. Plus you'll got a hot chocolate to boot

Any 'Check Engine light' issues are sorted with as well, because they put a CEL fix on the ECU.

Up-pipe and down-pipe are a absolute must, that is where most of the power is restricted.

Ive got a full H&S on mine, with ppp, no problems at all, but you got to do full decat, more power and more noise.
If you dont do it now you will regret it and will go back to get it done later. As for the MOT, and extra 10 mins to swop centres over and job done, just got to know where in essex to go

Yeah its all done lads,

F**K me its mint, Build quality and fit are better than the HKS and Blitz systems i looked at. Got it all done apart from the downpipe of which i WILL change when ive got the cash to get it mapped.

Ian said with that and a decent pannel filter i should be looking to gain a genuine 60bhp which should take it to approx 320bhp ish with the remap.

Sound is absolutely spot on.

Will post pics tomorrow once shes been cleaned

Frayz,

And did it make a BIG difference?
