Default Cheryl Thornton and the ESC

Hello all,

Time to discuss.

Thoughts on the self proclaimed 'boss' and the ESC.

First question is where did Cheryl come from.

No one from the Scoobynet days appears to know her or had heard of her before the rebrand.

Her approach to running it with a Stalin-like Iron Fist is highly unattractive and with her Gorilla of a husband acting as the muscle should anyone dare step out of line. Hence no one does.

Questioning Dynamite Dungkhan and his 10 a day mapping days, BANNED.

The aggressive promotion of a random garage in Basildon who are not a Subaru specialist but appears to be the only place these people take their cars. Appears to be nothing more than a circle jerk.

The unwelcome approach to newbees.

The cliques are very prevalent, don't you dare offer constructive feedback to Andrew and his bright green, driveway, rattle can painted chavwagon, affectionately called Shrek. Do that, get banned.

The fact her number plate is BO55 ESC tells all you need to know.

Frankly times are as bad as the shameful attitude and motivation Frayz had to this group, much of the blame lies at his feet.

From what I’ve gathered when attending clubs, they take it damn serious. I love attending track days but not gathering at a pub or a car park, gets boring after 10 Minutes or so

I've been to a couple of local meets, and whilst I enjoyed the drive there and back, I didn't really get the meet bit as nearly everyone just chatted to their mates. They do some charity stuff though.

spot on mate, as I’m from Liverpool the meets I went to were in Manchester and I enjoyed the drive there and back. I had a look around 15 odd cars then that was sort of it, another meet with this club happened in Wigan and again I enjoyed the drive but it was the same cars I’d seen a couple weeks before. Nice people and everything but I love the trackdays.

Hi KentSubarus

I have some thoughts on why you feel this is an appropriate post.!!

Interesting post you have put , going out of your way to personally attact an individual. Would suggest if you have a problem with the club or Cheryl it is highly recommended that you personally contact her to discuss it like normal adults rather than hiding away in a forum. Bet if you had your real name attached you wouldn't write half of what you did.

I guess that if your so good at running a club as you have such an clear opinion that its being done wrong then the question is why don't we hear Kent Subaru putting up his hand up to run or assist .

Assuming you have gathered this information by actually attending the club meets and not theough hear say then Its a perfect opportunity to discuss in a more reasonable way although calling Cheryl's husband a Gorilla ( highly offensive on many leaves ) I would guarantee you wouldn't talk to them both like this face to face.

It is fine to have opinions but there is a fine line between this and attacking someone.

A lot of work goes into running a club and I'm not suggesting that everything is done to everyone's tastes but with such a following attending meets not just online presence, and a huge family following I would suggest you are in the minority and be better for you to man up and actually have an adult conversion with them rather than starting a post directed at an individual

I couldn't disagree more with newbies as I would personally go out my way to talk to as many people as possible however as a newbie once myself I made the effort to introduce myself so people knew I was knew or first few meets.

I'm mike and drive a black wagon, I'm happy to say who I am , maybe you might want to identify yourself and give the opportunity for Cheryl to actually discuss these allegations with you face to face .

Thank you
kind regards
