FRAUD WARNING "BEWARE"
Just a warning for everyone selling their car.
I advertised my dads 2012 YARIS on autotrader and got a text offering me a guaranteed amount of money, so I logged onto the website and after entering a code and my details SUPRISE SUPRISE.
It was asking me for a £75 upfront fully refundable fee via pay point.
I simply go to a pay point pay £75 come back home and enter the code into the box provided...
I would then be given the buyers contact details, who would come out to collect my car and refund the £75 wether I proceed with the sale or not.
Guaranteed sale and guaranteed refund of my £75
TO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Done a quick search on the company and can't find jack on them!!
So just to warn anyone selling their car in the near future to beware of this type of fraud..
The company that contacted me are called
www.review-autotrader.com
Read a few other posts regarding this and a few other companies with similar name do appear to have come and gone, all fraudulent needless to say!
And autotrader say that these companies are nothing to do with them.
So lads and lasses don't say you that no one told you.
