Afternoon Hoon In June - Sunday 22nd
As discussed on the pub meet thread. Going to have an afternoon gentle drive out and find some country roads to go and enjoy.
Drive postponed till Sat 28th June
Going to postpone this till next weekend after our regular pub meet.
I won't be present but makes sense if more people can go
.
This gives enough time for people to have a lazy Sunday and hopefully head out into the afternoon sun.
Thinking of heading through Goldhangar towards Colchester and then aim towards Sudbury and see where we end up. Maybe even find a place to stop for drink/ice cream.
This will be a casual, respectful drive. Anyone behaving in a dangerous manner will not be asked to partake in future drives.
Hopefully this will be the first of many.
Let me know if you fancy it.
Frayz.

Honestly, starting a new thread- you're undoing all the blood, sweat and tears that went into the other one...and at page 5 too!
I will be up for this! Although being the week before payday, petrol might be a little sparse...

Guys if your heading towards Sudbury, go on through to long Melford, turn left in front of the church/kentwell hall and follow the road through to glemsford and on to Clare this road will bring you out onto the Haverhill road eventually, then follow onto Haverhill until you get to a round about then take 1st exit onto bypass then at next round about take first exit again and this will take you to finching field, real good fun road with dips twists and some wicked bends. This is my chosen fun route and you could stop at the pub in finching field and tease the bikers wished I hadn't planned to do my mr2 now

No unfortunately not,I've been putting off rebuilding the sills on my mr2 for to long now and finally cleared it with my boss (and the other boss) to use the workshop for the weekend so I will be covered in weld burns and filler dust all weekend , I'll definatly be up for another if this one is a success forgot to add if you go to finching field you can then head off to weathersfield and through to hedingham which is also a nice road or off to Braintree which is also fun and twisty OR go off from finching field to dunmow hope you have fun guys

Bugger. Would be good to have someone who knows those roads.
I was going to head out and do a lap of the Dengie, then via Maldon towards Goldhangar and Colchester.
Depending on time, fuel and what the guys & gals wanna do will decide where we end up.
I'll openly admit I haven't spent any time planning routes, just gonna wing it on Sunday afternoon.

It's looking like I won't be able to make this one afterall.
I haven't got the petrol to get me to The Rodney let alone Colchester and back. I don't get paid for another week. I'll be at the pub meet the following weekend though.
Sorry for dropping out I hope to make the next one if this one goes to plan

Thank you for the kind offers but I really don't want to impose.
It would be an inconvenience to whoever could spare a seat as they would have to drive back to the pub afterwards so I could collect my car.
That and it wouldn't be fair on Paul's family to lose a valuable parking space for the few hours we were out and about. I'd hate to think they lost a car full of paying customers because there were no spaces left and mine was in the way.
I should have budgeted my fuel allowance better this month so I have no-one to blame but myself.
To be fair, this is one of the first times I've driven my car EVERY day instead of alternating. I'm impressed that this is week 3 and I still have quarter of a tank left after filling it up the morning of May's meet! She's done well but I find the last quarter always goes the quickest and it needs to last me until next Thurs!
Hopefully there will be other outings like this one and I will join in next time.
Still, I appreciate the offers none the less. Thank you

Yes sorry to put a downer on things, but definitely can't have any cars left at the pub as we are having everyone back after Logan's christening. What about going for a drive after the pub meet next saturday. We could plan to leave at 3 or 4 maybe, and will bring a change to the pub meet as well?
