Default Manifold and full decat remap question

Hi all I'm considering buying a manifold and decat pipes for my impreza sti 05, the question is if I fitted these will the car run like rubbish? The car is at 340bhp remapped by jolly green monster at the moment. Will there also be an option to make it pop and bang when I remap again? Thanks

Hi mate I've done this to my 2004 sti and spoke to JGM and was told to drive the car off boost until I get it mapped again. Hope this helps :-)

Hi Jack,

What manifold are you considering fitting? Just stick below 3000rpm once fitted, question of which you are considering as I only really rate a couple of options and trying to save you the hassle of buy a manifold not upto the job.

Pops and bangs when decatted if no issue to add, just let me know you want them when I map it.

Ok thanks, I've heard the ebay ones are rubbish and won't let you rev over 5500rpm so I'll have to get a quality make manifold, can you tell me the ones you rate? Plus I'd like an unequal header too if I can

Probably at current spec better to go for a ported manifold.

I think As Performance do them.

Or tubular wise the decent ones arent cheap. I can supply then if required.
