Default Bugeye ppp fitting

Ok so I've just bought the daughterboard for my bugeye wrx

What size restrictor pill do I need? The standard one ok?

Bugeye daughterboard? Never heard of one on a bug. Normally ecutek or open source mapped

Bugeyes had to have a board fitted inside the ecu

No they don't. Just get it open source mapped.

You really need to do some more research before going down the modding route chap.

PPP is ROM(map),not the daughterboard

Really you will be wasting yours money on this and would suggest get yours car mapped properly and you will see bigger gains than with this unknown Daughterboard

Ok im not going to argue. although i can say mine certainly never had a board fitted. Was a replacement ecu with ppp map added via locked ecutek software.

Maybe yours was running a newer version ecu?

Mines is y reg bug wrx, the early bugeyes were fitted with the daughterboard which I think was made by gems,

I'm still trying to figure out I I need a restrictor pill fitted that's different from my standard one

Ive actually just read a thread about early bug ppp's and apparently gems did do a board for the early cars. However it was nothing more than a fancy fuel cut defender and boost control.

If your tuning your bug then this really is not the best method to go. As I said earlier, do a bit more research before you start modding your car.

Yep, as said the early Bug "PPP" was a daughterbourd and quickly died a death having been killed by reflashing the ECU.

Even the generic very early "Tek 1" beat it hands down........

If you want to try it then there's nothing to lose, you don't need a different restrictor pill for the WRX. It was the STi with the VF turbo's that were prone to boost spikes.

However, I'd have it properly mapped...........results are way better
