Default misfire on my classic, please help guys..

Hi All

The car hasnt been out since april, the last time it was driven before that was october 2012, today ive driven it and its developed a misfire below 3k revs, i thought maybe the fuel was stale and put £40 in it but made no difference..

it is quite an aggresive misfire/hesitation when pulling away in 1st gear and up through all the gears, if i plant it the car performs perfect up through the gears but taking it gently it misfires..

i know this has probably been covered a 100 times but i dont have the time to trawl through all the threads..

also there is NO engine management light on to diagnose with a machine..

so, possibly plugs? leads?

cheers in advance

Paul

What year mate? Do you have leads or individual coils?
If coils check them over, remove rubber at bottom & look for cracks etc..
I'd definitely fit a set of plugs though
