Some Advice with Mods / Mapping etc on my impreza wagon!
Hi, just after some advice please guys..
I have a 2000 impreza wagon wrx.
I Have a Vf48 turbo in my possession and i'm going to fit it to my wagon..
I'm getting a up rated fuel pump, and i'm going to get a Sti top mount intercooler
Obviously already have a up rated exhaust and decated etc
I was going to get some yellow sti injectors as i believe i will have to, as the standard grey ones wont be capable of the job!
However mine already has the yellows ones fitted, do they come on some later wrx's ? i don't know or am i looking at it already been mapped ?
Finally what mapping options do i have ? i've read in some cases people have changed the ecu extra ?
Would appreciate the help, I'm not clued up on the earlier classics with the options for tunning as i believe the standard ecus are restricted ? But i do have good mechanical knowledge and experience so don't worry about making it simple terms haha

What year is the car?
Some late classics (the last of them, i think from year 2k) can be mapped through the diagnostics port iirc, if yours does not fall in to that era then you will be looking along the lines of a ESL daughter board or change of ecu, the daughter board will be more than adequate for the level of tune your after

I think but don't quote me that on a 2000 year uk car it can me mapped through the obd port with ecutek, not sure if there are any os versions available, I've never owned a classic but from reading various threads I know the last of the classics can be mapped, just not sure of the year it begins you may be lucky

To the OP, aye you with 8 posts 440cc(Yellow) injectors are standard for your car mate.
Unless you want to buy an aftermarket ECU, an MY00 car can only be remapped using EcuTek.
http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/ Crap drive up, great drive back.
Regarding tuning companies, what do you want done? Andy only remap's, but, there's plenty of capable folk local. Where in the North East are you, it's quite big.

There are plenty of mappers available, most of them travel, if your also willing to travel your options are endless tbh, there are many mappers highly regarded amongst the comunity so it comes down to choice really
