Hi all, I have a imprezza type-r sti v6 (2000). Every time im in a high gear going slow at low revs the stop check engine light comes on, Then i knock it out of gear into neutral and it goes away. For example say im in 5th gear at under 2000rpm the light comes on, i then take it out of gear and it goes off straight away.

I have done a few ecu error code checks and reset the ecu each time and always comes back with code 24 Idle air control valve. Now i have replaced the idle control valve twice now and even tried my mates and it still doing the same thing.

Does anyone know what it could be or what i could check ?? This does not happen all the time only now and again when in low revs high gear. Thanks
