Question Ecu mapped by Litchfield, is it locked ?

Hi,
I am new here as I bought a Impreza Wrx Sti Spec C Type Ra in Japan. As the map on it is not good and the ecu seems locked,
I was looking for a replacement. In fleebay I found one which is supposedly remapped by Powerstation / Litchfield.
This ecu I think is also locked or can anyone confirm that it can be re-programmed ?

Or can someone put an oem map on my ecu even it is locked (Ecutek?) when I send it ?

Thanks a lot,
Rico

A map from one car is unlikely to work on another. Best bet is just get it mapped from scratch. If it has a license on it already it can be reused.

Thanks, I know. But my question is does it have license or lock, if so it can only be mapped by a company who has the software which will be expensive.
I just want to get an oem map on my ecu or another ecu which I can map.
BR,
Rico

Other companies won't be able to see the map, but can remap the ecu itself. Short version, yes they should be able to get at it
