Tapping sound from engine only when warm
Hi guys I'm new to Subaru's and the boxer engine, I have a 06 2L non turbo impreza, and have owned it for roughly five months.
It has started making a ticking sound but only when warm and below 2000rpm, the ticking is at its worst between 1500 and 2000.
I have always checked the oil level every other day and made sure the correct oil was being used.
Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this? And Is it serious? As I have heard that boxer engines are generally a bit noisier than other engines.
I have tried to link a video of the noise but I'm not sure if it will work.
And help or advice would be greatly appreciated
